Teflon zone tape is excellent in heat resistance, releasing property and mechanical strength. It is fiberglass fabric impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) dispersion and both edges are coated with high-temperature, pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. Therefore, there is no adhesive in the centre creating a barrier for the impulse sealing element thus improving sealing quality. Zone tapes are primarily used in applications where it is important that the adhesive doesn't come in to contact with a heating element or it is necessary to cover an expensive component of a packaging machine such as silicone sponge or foam.
